What we collect, and why.
Short version: your details are used to reply to you and, if you asked for them, to send you retreat dates. Nothing is sold, and you can have it all deleted by asking.
1. Who this is
Nature Awareness is run by Leah Fitzpatrick. If you want to ask anything about your data, or have it deleted, email [email protected] and it will be dealt with directly.
2. What is collected
Only what you type into a form on this site:
- Your name and email address
- Which retreat, workshop or programme you asked about
- Anything you chose to write in the message box, which may include health or mobility information if you decided to share it
- Whether you ticked the box asking for retreat dates by email
There is no analytics tracking, no advertising pixel and no third-party cookie on this site.
3. Why, and on what basis
To reply to you. If you send an enquiry, the lawful basis is legitimate interest, or taking steps prior to entering into a contract. No consent tickbox is needed to answer someone who has just written to you.
To send you retreat dates. This is separate, is opt-in, and the box is unticked by default. The lawful basis is consent, and you can withdraw it at any time by replying to any email or writing to the address above.
Health information. If you tell us about a health condition so that a day can be made safe for you, that is special category data. It is used only to make that judgement, is not stored beyond what is needed for it, and is never shared.
4. Who else sees it
Enquiries are read by Leah. Email is handled by the email provider, and form submissions may pass through a form service acting as a processor. No data is sold, and none is shared for marketing.
5. How long it is kept
Enquiries are kept for as long as is needed to answer them and to run any booking that follows, and are then deleted. Marketing contacts are kept until you unsubscribe or ask to be removed.
6. Your rights
Under UK GDPR you can ask for a copy of what is held about you, ask for it to be corrected, ask for it to be deleted, object to how it is used, or withdraw consent for marketing. Email [email protected] and it will be actioned within one month.
If you are not happy with the response, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk.
7. Cookies
This site sets no cookies of its own. Fonts are loaded from Google Fonts, which will see the IP address of the request.
8. Changes
If this notice changes materially, the updated version will be posted here.
